Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces

A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his first trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one win at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.

Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with former trainer Cervara.

Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.

It is the player's initial title following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from that period of the previous year.

Success also signifies Medvedev has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 various tournaments.

"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to win a trophy is really nice," stated tennis professional the champion.

"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."

Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six title deciders, including in the German tournament previously this season.

The player's defensive strategy and frequent reactions on the playing surface had prompted observers to question if his ability to play at the top level was over.

But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and play assertively, supported by an better service.

The champion fought back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, winning four of the concluding five games to go ahead.

The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.

Moutet saved 4 early break points in a competitive deciding set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.

Suitably, the winner earned the title with a rally at the net, with his opponent unable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
